This is one of the saddest news I came to know just now when I was doing my daily read-up on Malaysiakini.

“The elusive Ahmad Ismail, the man at the centre of a ‘racial slur’ controversy, said today he would not apologise even after the deputy prime minister has already done so on his behalf.

The Bukit Bendera Umno division chief added that he did not feel sorry and would not recant his alleged racist remarks against Chinese Malaysians during the recent by-election campaign in Permatang Pauh.

“I am not apologetic because I didn’t do anything wrong,” the Umno division leader from Penang told Malaysiakini via telephone today. “

(Source and Read more from there)

———————————————————————————————–
Ahmad Ismail oh Ahmad Ismail…

What are you trying to do here? Our dearest DPM just apologized on behalf of you and it was printed all over the mainstream media yesterday, remember? Are you trying to put our DPM into shame with your unapologetic statement?

With the 916 rumours swirling around the corner, and the latest announcement by Mr Ahmad Ismail, I am sure the ruling government will be seeing its sinking ship to drown even faster. They certainly has forgotten what the rakyat has done in the last GE. They certainly has forgotten.

I just can’t understand why he must say that the Chinese are immigrants squatting in the country while we are born in Malaysia and given an Identification Card (MyKad) as well. If he calls us “Pendatangs” and not entitled for equal rights in this country, why doesn’t he ask Lee Chong Wei to return the Olympic Silver Medal to China since his ancestors are from there? Why should Lee Chong Wei fight for a country where his rights are not being assured? Why should Lee Chong Wei fight to live up the dream of Malaysia in securing a silver medal when he is acknowledged as a “Pendatang”?

Oh perhaps, Nicol David is not a Malay too, so is she a “pendatang” too? If yes, I am afraid that her past glories for Malaysia has been put into vain as she is not entitled to the equal rights in Malaysia.

Ahmad Ismail oh Ahmad Ismail… why oh why? Because of your announcement, I am pretty sure there will be a lot of hoo-ha’s going against you. Can’t all the races come together in peace and harmony in this nation? Why must you promote that in Permatang Pauh? Why?

You seriously do owe the Chinese community an apology. You just can’t get away with it easily. But, Sorry seems to be the hardest word for you right now.

Well, I am not one of them who used a cellphone to record or snap pics of the fireworks. Look at the crowd who were standing in front of me.

How I wish I could enjoy such performance every week.

Ah… bad idea, it will cause air and noise pollution to the residents.

Nevertheless, I managed to record a 5-minute video of the fireworks. Why don’t you watch it yourself?

Instructions: Remove 1 question from below, and add in your personal question, make it a total of 20 questions, then tag 8 people in your list, list them out at the end of this post. Notify them in their chat box that he/she has been tagged.

1. At what age do you wish to marry?

Hopefully when I am still young and pretty like now??? Then the wedding pictures and videos will turn out perfectly at its best!! (*Roaring away in laughter*)

2. What is your most favourite thing to do?

Lying on the couch with my other half (probably my head is on the pillow which is on his thighs, facing the TV) and watch TVB series non-stop without knowing the time is ticking away.

3. If you have only one country to choose for your dream vacation, where will it be and why?

Definitely Italy. With Venice full of romance, With Milan full of beautiful cathedrals, with Rome full of Roman civilization history…what else could I wish for?

4. What would you give up in return to eat all you want in the world and not get fat ?

I will give up exercising!! Then eat all the best food in the world and most importantly, don’t gain weight!!!! (Can this be done?? How i wish!)

5. If you can have 1 dream to come true, what would it be?

That I have won a lottery of RMxxxxxx (whatever the amount is) to release my parents from financial burden, and I can clear of my housing loan, car loan & ptptn loan! Hahahahahaaha!!!

6. Do you believe you can survive without money?

In this moment, with 8.5% inflation reported for July….NO WAY!!!!

7. What are you afraid to lose the most?

My loved ones (family & other half)

8. What do you feel like doing, right now?

Shopping!!! (Payroll is just out today, forgive me!)

9. If you can get out of your current life circumstance, would you?

Probably would. It’s a headache at times.

10. List out 3 good points of the person who tagged you.

This is tricky. I have two persons tagging me at the same time. For the he, he is friendly, humourous and matured. For the she, she is bubbly, witty and cute!

11. What are the requirements that you wish from your other half?

Loves & Fears God more than me, Spiritually Matured, be willing to serve God even the world is tumbling down, NOT stingy and loving each other unconditionally

12. What is the thing that will make you think he/she is bad?

I hate SMOKERS!

13. What is your ambition?

To be a loving wife & a providing mother with a sound career (*Ooopss!*)

14. Is anyone really perfect?

No one is perfect. Trust me. There is a flaw in everyone.

15. If you had a choice to be rich or happy, which one would you pick ?

Happy of course. Money can’t buy joy and happiness.

16. If you have a chance, which part of your character you would like to change?

My loud-speaker tone of voice….

17. Who is the person that you can share all your problems with?

It’s always my other half.

18. How do you see yourself in 10 years time?

Director’s seat in one of the top medical companies? Hahahaha I really don’t know man… I wish…

I probably would be screaming away at my kids at home…”STOP PLAYING MY LIPSTICK!!!”

19. What is the one thing you love about yourself?

My faith in God never shatters despite the world turning against me….

20. What is your dream job?

A Magazine Editor for Cleo or Female

Tagging:

KEVIN, ISAAC, NADIA, KIM ONG, FALCON, JOSHUA ONG, REALGUNNERS, CARYSSE HONG

If you remember, 2 weeks ago I was working in the East Coast and Kuala Terengganu was one of my stops. I dropped by Pantai Batu Buruk in the evening on the way back to my hotel.

Trail of shells

Pantai Batu Buruk, Kuala Terengganu is undoubtedly the most famous beach in Terengganu.

Is there a message in the bottle?

Bottle by the sea

This beautiful beach is just 1 km from the city center and can be reached by walking. Perhaps this is the cleanest and widest beach inside Kuala Terengganu city

My favourite shot for this beach

On windy days, playing kite on the beach is a good idea but swimming can be dangerous here. The beach is not exactly suitable for swimming due to the strong waves almost all year round, perhaps due to its geographically unsheltered location.

Sunset by the beach

However, Pantai Batu Buruk is also a popular place for strolling and good place to visit especially in the evening.

As promised in my previous post 2 days ago, here are some of the pictures taken by Kevin and I in Wat Arun.

One of the shots taken when I visited Wat Arun in 2006

Wat Arun, perhaps better known as the Temple of the Dawn, is one of the best known landmarks and one of the most published images of Bangkok.

The temple is located on the west bank of the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok.

This is one of my fave shots in Wat Arun

The full name of the temple is Wat Arunratchawararam Ratchaworamahavihara. (Wow, this is tough to pronounce in a go, isn’t it?)

And it is also a hallmark of the reign of King Rama III.

Kevin: Hello lion. Are you bored?

You definitely can find such cute statues in the surrounding compound before entering the temple.

My best shot taken in Thailand! I love this shot!!!

The Wat really looks better from a distance than close up, and you’re not missing out too much even if you only view from across the river.

I just love the clouds in the background. Good job for this shot, Kev!

It is possible to walk up the stairs of the main prang, which gives quite a scenic view of the Chao Phraya river.

I just love the clouds in the background. Good job for this shot, Kev!

Nevertheless, when you are in Wat Arun, you just have to camwhore with your travel-mates.

Grace: HOUMMMMMMMMMM!!!!! (Meditating)

Including pictures like the one above.

More than 95% of the population of the Thailand are Buddhists and you will easily find Buddhist temples at every corner in this country.

These temples differ from those back here in Malaysia. Thus, you cannot go to Bangkok without not visiting the historical Wat Pho and Wat Arun (in the next post) which is located along the Chao Phraya River.

I have been to these beautiful temples 2 years ago. I did not mind visiting them again this time because it was Kevin’s virgin trip to Bangkok.

From this post, you will be able to embrace both Kevin’s skillful shots and my skills in photography improving.

The front view of Wat Pho

Wat Pho or The Temple of the Reclining Buddha, is one of the largest and oldest wat (buddhist temple) in Bangkok.

Pic by Kev - The Entrance of Wat Pho

This temple was built around 200 years before Bangkok became the capital of Thailand. The construction of Wat Pho in 1788 was a restoration of an earlier temple on the same site, Wat Phodharam by King Rama III.

I took this shot in my previous trip here in Dec 2006

Wat Pho is also home to more than one thousand Buddha images, as well as one of the largest single reclining Buddha roughly 46 metres long and 15 metres high.

The highly impressive gold plated reclining Buddha was made to illustrate the passing of Buddha into nirvana.

Part time modeling with Kev

The entrance to Wat Pho is on Chetuphon road. It is opened daily from 08.00am to 5.00pm with an entrance fee of 50Baht, and it is closed for lunch break from 12.00pm to 1.00pm.

Looks like Kev does not know how to be my model… hmmm… POSE for me lah, Kevin!!

Wat Pho has 95 stupas of various sizes. The four large stupas were built on separate occasions to commemorate the first four kings of the Chakri Dynasty.

At least he managed to pose emotionally in this pic

Today, Wat Pho still stands majestically as a tourist attraction as well as a religious centre in the 21st century.

P.S. Email me if you want to find out how to enter Wat Pho for FREE!

Here in the states of Kelantan and Terengganu lies mosques that exhibit the distinct muslim architecture and design. Moreover, Terengganu is known as the historical state of Islam where the Batu Bersurat was found early 14th century.

A common feature we often see in mosques is the minaret, the tall, slender tower that usually is situated at one of the corners of the mosque structure. The top of the minaret is always the highest point in mosques that have one, and often the highest point in the immediate area.

On the other hand, the domes, often placed directly above the main prayer hall.

Has my photography skills improved?

This mosque (picture above) was seen in Kuala Terengganu and it is still under construction. It is one of the most beautiful mosques I’ve ever seen in Malaysia.

In fact, I would love to visit the Crystal Mosque one fine day.

Short-Note: I have added another category, “Photography-Lovers” to my categories’ list in this blog. I have developed a passion for photography but do not have the time to do so. I promise to bring in as much photo shots during my field trip to any part of the country. =)
———————————————————————————————————————————-

Isn’t it great to work and travel at the same time? This field visit to the East Coast has certainly draw my attention to the Coastline along the coastal road from Kota Bharu to Kuala Terengganu.

Pantai Irama, or Beach of Melody is just located 1km north of Bachok and roughly 20km southeast of Kota Bharu in the state of Kelantan.

Pantai Irama is famous for its gently sloping beach that extends far into the clear blue water of the South China Sea. According to the locals, the beach is usually crowded with campers and picnickers during the weekends and holidays.

Many who have been there have come back declaring it the most beautiful beach on the entire east coast!

The gentle roar of the rolling waves, the smell of the salty sea, the wind in my face, the gracefulness of the trees swaying, all combined, creates a sense of peace and serenity.

Indeed, the beach lives up to this claim with good facilities, clear waters and gentle slopes. It is no wonder that throngs of people visit the place year after year.

When you have the chance to visit Kelantan, do drop by Pantai Irama if time permits.
Feel the sand between your toes, have a splash in the water; get dirty, get wet.
I didnt have the chance as I was in my working attire.

I will be back.
