My Form 3 BM Essay

4 August 2009

I am definitely enjoying my work in my hometown, Ipoh. It’s all because of the good food that you just can’t find in KL and a little laid back environment compared to the hustle and bustle of the city.

As I was going through my stuffs in Ipoh, I found an exercise book at one of my book shelves that says “Penulisan – BM” which means Essay in Malay Language. 3 Orkid was the name of my class when I was in Secondary 3.

BM Penulisan

Out of curiosity, I flipped through the pages to find out what have I written a decade ago.

BM Penulisan

To my own astonishment, I couldn’t recall myself scoring as high as 24 or 25 out of 30 marks for each essay I have written in the official language of this country. Wow!

BM Penulisan

I am glad I actually score an “A” for this particular essay. Let me share it with you now.

The Story I wrote 10 years ago…

5 January 2009

Blog Owner’s Note: As I was spring-cleaning my room last night, I discovered a book where I wrote some cheezy love story. Maybe I should share it with you. Pardon me if there’s any grammatical errors as I was only Secondary 2 when I penned it down.

The little book which I found last night

Yeah, I know from the title you would know that this story is cheezy!!

JEALOUSY SPRINGS

Chapter 1

My eyelids felt heavy as I opened them to check out the time. Only then I realized I had took more than 2 hours to revise my history subject in Landsbury High School’s library. I was too absorbed in my revision that I totally forgot my eyes needed to rest.

I leaned against my chair and let out a long sigh for nothing. My best friend since middle school, Lesley Allens who was sitting next to me, was still busy revising her calculus. All I know that she was facing some difficulties in coping this subject. I looked around the school library. The books which were once arranged nicely were now lopsided in a mess.

I only remembered that I left my bofa set in the classroom. Without the bofa set, I could not finish the art homework given by Mr James.

“Lesley, I think I left my bofa set in the class.”

“Come on, Alyssa. What’s with your 17-year old memory lately? Why are you being so forgetful lately?” said Lesley in despair.

“Oh dear!”

“You better take it before it’s too late, Lys!”

“Whose class is taking over now?” I asked to make sure.

“Mr Wilson’s class if I didn’t recall wrongly.”

“Are you sure, Lelle?” I just wanted to confirm with Lesley. I hate to make a fool out of myself in odd situations.

“Should be. Oh wait, there’s this guy, Daryl who usually takes up your seat.”

“You mean Daryl Richardson?” I asked as I was picturing him in my mind.

“Absolutely right.”

I ran out from the library and headed to where I needed to. I don’t usually walk such a speedy pace in school but I had to reach there before my bofa set goes missing.  I reached out for the door knob and to my surprise Mr Wilson was nowhere to be seen. There was no one in the room except for a dark-brown haired guy in a maroon-colored shirt and a pair of faded blue jeans. I recognised him at once.
