Amazing Fireworks at Putrajaya

30 August 2008

Magnificent.

Australia Fireworks

The one word I could describe about the 30-minute performance of fireworks by Team Australia on 29th August 2008 at Putrajaya.

Team Australia Fireworks

Pardon me for the not-so-excellent shots as I was desperate to snap them with my Sony Ericsson K850i instead of a digital camera. (My digi cam has been hospitalised due to lens problem)

Well, I am not one of them who used a cellphone to record or snap pics of the fireworks. Look at the crowd who were standing in front of me.

Fireworks by Australia

How I wish I could enjoy such performance every week.

Ah… bad idea, it will cause air and noise pollution to the residents.

Nevertheless, I managed to record a 5-minute video of the fireworks. Why don’t you watch it yourself?

Planetshakers in Malaysia 2008

19 April 2008

Last Sunday, I attended Planetshakers‘ FREE Album Launch Concert which was co-hosted by City Church KL in Sunway University College on 13th April 2008.

Sunway College

It was just like yesterday when I stepped into Sunway University College. The fact is, I have left Monash University (used to share the campus with Sunway College) 5 years ago. Even though I only studied there for 2 weeks, I kinda miss those days.

Ahh, let’s come back to the event that caught my attention better.

City Church KL

The church currently meets every Sunday in the Multi Purpose Hall at Sunway University College and it is packed with college youngsters.

Stage

Before the Planetshakers band took the stage, Kev took the opportunity to snap this picture for me.

Just a little background about Planetshakers. Planetshakers is a Christian youth movement that began as an annual conference and grew into an international ministry and large church in Melbourne, Australia. The conference was started by Paradise Community Church in Adelaide, South Australia by Pastor Russell Evans. Planetshakers expanded, and in 2004 moved to Melbourne to begin a church ministry (originally called Melbourne City Church). Planetshakers also has its own bible college which is located in several campuses throughout Australia.

PS Concert

Planetshakers flew all the way from Australia to launch their latest album - FREE which is available in leading Christian bookstores such as Canaanland.

planetshakers-free

FREE was recorded in August/September 2007 at Planetshakers City Church in Melbourne and it was released officially on 19 January 2008.

PS Concert

Besides singing a few songs from the latest album, they even led us in a series of previous hits such as Majesty, Jump Around, Beautiful Saviour and Rain Down.

Rain Down is my favourite worship song written by Henry Seeley of Planetshakers. You will be able to find this song from the album ‘All that I want‘.

PS Concert

I have not let loose for a very long time.

Thank you, Planetshakers.

I surely enjoyed myself a lot during the concert.

Amen!

Traditional Night - PK Resources Annual Dinner 2005

27 March 2005

PK Resources Group of Companies Annual Dinner was held tonight. The group which includes Nilai International College, Allson Klana BBN, Allson Klana Seremban, BBN, Nilai Spring Golf Club & many more. SO many of us were dressed to the nine, sashaying on da red carpet into the ballroom. … capturing as many photo shots as we can with colleagues.

Dressed in Traditional Costumes… L-R: Madam Ang, Me, Joanne and Jess.

This is me and Jess. I am wearing a black Cheongsam while she is with her black saree….

Closer shot of Joanne Gan and myself dressed in sexy cheongsams.

I have more shots in Kelvin’s camera and it so happened my batteries died off in this important event just now at Allson Klana Resort, Seremban.

It was so bored to sit with my colleagues from my department and I didn’t know what to talk about besides waiting for food time and admiring those dancers on stage. Haihh.. Jason and Alan were at the other table with the IT dept… while me… stuck next to Madam Ang. Thank God after the dinner time, I grabbed a seat at their table [IT dept  and Jason and Alan], at least I wouldn’t feel alienated and fret no more.

LUCKY DRAW…emmm… I don’t have the luck as usual. For a couple of years… Alan managed to get a portable stereo video cd system. So LUCKY of him. I just drank a glass of Tiger Beer down while being disappointed of the lucky draw. The grand prize was a PDA!!
