Manchester United vs Malaysia XI (Asia Tour 2009)
20 July 2009
I think my pictures will speak forth a thousand words for the atmosphere at Bukit Jalil National Stadium last Saturday. Words can’t express how ecstatic I was when I joined in the sea of red (read: Manchester United theme color for most jerseys).
The match between Manchester United vs Malaysia XI was simply
I won’t say much for my pictures will speak boldly to you. Enjoy the pictures!

I can’t believe there are so many MAN UTD supporters out there. My eyes almost popped out when I entered the stadium!

Red Devils, training and warming up 15 minutes before the match.

The amazing sea of red! And I was one of the 40,000 crazy supporters who joined in the madness of the stadium!

With Reuben, Stanley, Kevin and myself.

That is NOT my camera. It belongs to Kevin.

This poor boy gets boo-ed all the time because he is in Chelsea jersey.

In searing heat, the Red devils were given a good workout by their enthusiastic and energetic opponents who were only five minutes away from a famous result.
All thanks to Michael Owen’s debut winning goal!

I just could not stop laughing at the way they lifted up their butts and legs! (*giggling away*)

It was a good match between Malaysia XI and Manchester United.
Michael Owen secured a 3-2 victory for the Reds in their opening Asia Tour match, coming off the bench to fire the winner on his debut against a hard-working Malaysian XI. Good job, Malaysian team!

Just a note, all pictures were taken by me with my 2 year old-worthy digital camera – Canon Ixus 860IS. I still love my camera even though it is not a DSLR.

It’s a Canon mar, hehehe.
Anyway, the local boys surprised me. I was expecting something more embarrassing, but 3-2 and 2-0 was pretty acceptable.
