Addicted to Friends For Sale!

facebook

Everyday when I come home from work, the first thing I want to do is to log onto the Internet and click on my bookmarked “Facebook” website.

I installed the Friends For Sale (FFS) application last year but didn’t find it that exciting. Due to the recent rush-in from a group of friends, I jumped into the bandwagon of trading friends into skyrocketing values.

facebook ffs

Besides, bidding for pets (read: friends) in Facebook’s FFS, I get to earn more FFS $$ by working my pets out.

This is when I would laugh out loud and all woes to be taken away when I make my pets do crazy stuffs to other friends.

Alright, anyone wants to own me now? I am in the midst of raising my FFS Value!!

Splashing at Chilling River

9 January 2009

I want to hit a river or a waterfall in this quarter!!! Where can I go?????????????

Chilling River

Recently on the 29th December, I have visited the Chilling River which is located at Kuala Kubu Baru. If you are planning to drive, it takes about an hour or so to reach there.

The water is surprisingly clean and yes, it’s really chilly. No wonder it’s called Chilling River. *Giggles*

Rocks and boulders are aplenty in this river. Do be extra careful as there are some slippery ones. You need to be extra bold like the guy in red.

I seriously felt superbly awesome to be surrounded by nature once a while; unike the hustle and bustle of the metropolis where I will be choked with either traffic jams or air pollution from the exhaust pipes of the millions of vehicles on the road.

Nature is definitely a therapy for me.

Not a relaxing therapy for me when I have a mischievous sibling that kept splashing water till I was completely drenched!!

The best part is to hug someone who is still dry when you’re wet. See what I have done to Kevin. (*Laughing with an evil grin*)

And of course, the other option is to keep splashing at each other.

Now, Gerald, isn’t it great to have splash each other especially with my mum?

Happy Splashing if you’re visiting any river or waterfalls!!

On the other note, I am still puzzled at Tony Fernandez’s idea of building KLIA-East at Labu which is a freaking 22km away from the current KLIA.

The Story I wrote 10 years ago…

5 January 2009

Blog Owner’s Note: As I was spring-cleaning my room last night, I discovered a book where I wrote some cheezy love story. Maybe I should share it with you. Pardon me if there’s any grammatical errors as I was only Secondary 2 when I penned it down.

The little book which I found last night

Yeah, I know from the title you would know that this story is cheezy!!

JEALOUSY SPRINGS

Chapter 1

My eyelids felt heavy as I opened them to check out the time. Only then I realized I had took more than 2 hours to revise my history subject in Landsbury High School’s library. I was too absorbed in my revision that I totally forgot my eyes needed to rest.

I leaned against my chair and let out a long sigh for nothing. My best friend since middle school, Lesley Allens who was sitting next to me, was still busy revising her calculus. All I know that she was facing some difficulties in coping this subject. I looked around the school library. The books which were once arranged nicely were now lopsided in a mess.

I only remembered that I left my bofa set in the classroom. Without the bofa set, I could not finish the art homework given by Mr James.

“Lesley, I think I left my bofa set in the class.”

“Come on, Alyssa. What’s with your 17-year old memory lately? Why are you being so forgetful lately?” said Lesley in despair.

“Oh dear!”

“You better take it before it’s too late, Lys!”

“Whose class is taking over now?” I asked to make sure.

“Mr Wilson’s class if I didn’t recall wrongly.”

“Are you sure, Lelle?” I just wanted to confirm with Lesley. I hate to make a fool out of myself in odd situations.

“Should be. Oh wait, there’s this guy, Daryl who usually takes up your seat.”

“You mean Daryl Richardson?” I asked as I was picturing him in my mind.

“Absolutely right.”

I ran out from the library and headed to where I needed to. I don’t usually walk such a speedy pace in school but I had to reach there before my bofa set goes missing.  I reached out for the door knob and to my surprise Mr Wilson was nowhere to be seen. There was no one in the room except for a dark-brown haired guy in a maroon-colored shirt and a pair of faded blue jeans. I recognised him at once.

….. to be continued…..

New Year, New Season, New Beginning with 2009

2 January 2009

2008 ended.

We welcomed 2009 yesterday.

Fireworks @ The Curve
Fireworks Display at The Curve on 1st Jan 2009 00:00hrs

As for me, year 2008 didn’t really end with a superb bang. Nevertheless, there were moments of glory besides the tears and unnecessary distress.

It depends on how I look at things. Similarly to the fireworks display, it may seem colorful and shining in the skies to the most of us while some would think it is a waste of dollars and causing both air and noise pollution.

Reflecting
It is always good to look back once in a while

I’m unsure if you feel the same way as I do, 2008 passed in a flash of a lightning.

Don’t you think so? I have all the highlights of 2008 under my nose and I certainly felt that I have not done enough. Perhaps, I would be dubious with my current achievements.

Was in Cherating in May 2008

Yes, I am very ambitious. I do set a very astronomical level for myself to accomplish at times. Seems impossible, but I know I can stretch my limits far and wide.

In 2009, I have lay down a few resolutions to achieve.

#1. To update my blog at least 12 times a month

Don’t think my room is that tidy now…

It will seem arduous despite my heavy traveling schedule. Blogging has grown a lot in me, and I shall never fade away from it.

#2. To read a book once a quarter

I was once a bookworm…ONCE!!

I have to develop my reading habit once again. I used to read a lot when I was schooling.

Things have changed since college days. I just stopped reading avidly though I never failed to read Cleo magazine monthly. I have bought so many interesting books for the past few years. Yet, I couldn’t find the ample time to read.

#3. To brush up my photography skills

Even with my one-year old Canon Ixus 860 IS camera, I hope I can improve on my photography skills. I have no idea when I have picked up photography but I do love capturing great shots. Be it anything in this planet, I just love taking pictures.

My Canon camera works well with me. The picture above is one of my favourite shots in 2008. I can’t wait to snap more in 2009.

#4. To be more adventurous

River
Splashing away with my mum in Sg. Chillings

In 2008, I visited Chilling Waterfalls twice. This year, I would love to embrace the nature more by participating in more outings such as jungle-trekking, hill-climbing, waterfalls, cycling in FRIM and et cetera.

In fact, I do really love the nature.  Surrounded by greens and works like a spa to the eyes. (I am not sure how to describe this part, pardon me!)

#5 . To spend more time with friends

Friends
With a bunch of churchmates at Sunway Lagoon Theme Park

I have been engaged tightly with my working schedule. I do hope in 2009, I will allocate some time for my dearest friends. I know I have neglected a lot of you guys for the past few years.

I promise to make it up for you in 2009.

#6. To travel to a country which is definitely colder than Malaysia

Was in Delft, Netherlands

Yes, I definitely want to visit a country which has Autumn or Winter. It’s freaking hot in Malaysia. Thus, I have always love colder countries. It was an extra blessing from God when I had the chance to visit Madrid and Amsterdam in 2008 with my company.

Well, well… I certainly pray hard that we will do better in 2009 to aim for another trip to Europe!! =)

Flying
Taken this pic during the flight to Manila in Oct 2008

Well, it’s already the 2nd of January today. I am all out to achieve my resolutions. What about yours?

Let 2009 be the year of exceeding multiplication and fruitfulness for me…and for you too!

(P.S.) #7. To earn more $$$ is a must for every year!!
