2 January 2009
2008 ended.
We welcomed 2009 yesterday.

Fireworks Display at The Curve on 1st Jan 2009 00:00hrs
As for me, year 2008 didn’t really end with a superb bang. Nevertheless, there were moments of glory besides the tears and unnecessary distress.
It depends on how I look at things. Similarly to the fireworks display, it may seem colorful and shining in the skies to the most of us while some would think it is a waste of dollars and causing both air and noise pollution.

It is always good to look back once in a while
I’m unsure if you feel the same way as I do, 2008 passed in a flash of a lightning.
Don’t you think so? I have all the highlights of 2008 under my nose and I certainly felt that I have not done enough. Perhaps, I would be dubious with my current achievements.

Was in Cherating in May 2008
Yes, I am very ambitious. I do set a very astronomical level for myself to accomplish at times. Seems impossible, but I know I can stretch my limits far and wide.
In 2009, I have lay down a few resolutions to achieve.
#1. To update my blog at least 12 times a month

Don’t think my room is that tidy now…
It will seem arduous despite my heavy traveling schedule. Blogging has grown a lot in me, and I shall never fade away from it.
#2. To read a book once a quarter

I was once a bookworm…ONCE!!
I have to develop my reading habit once again. I used to read a lot when I was schooling.
Things have changed since college days. I just stopped reading avidly though I never failed to read Cleo magazine monthly. I have bought so many interesting books for the past few years. Yet, I couldn’t find the ample time to read.
#3. To brush up my photography skills

Playing around with Kev’s new toy “Nikon D60″
Even with my one-year old Canon Ixus 860 IS camera, I hope I can improve on my photography skills. I have no idea when I have picked up photography but I do love capturing great shots. Be it anything in this planet, I just love taking pictures.

Pantai Buruk in Kuala Terengganu
My Canon camera works well with me. The picture above is one of my favourite shots in 2008. I can’t wait to snap more in 2009.
#4. To be more adventurous

Splashing away with my mum in Sg. Chillings
In 2008, I visited Chilling Waterfalls twice. This year, I would love to embrace the nature more by participating in more outings such as jungle-trekking, hill-climbing, waterfalls, cycling in FRIM and et cetera.
In fact, I do really love the nature. Surrounded by greens and works like a spa to the eyes. (I am not sure how to describe this part, pardon me!)
#5 . To spend more time with friends

With a bunch of churchmates at Sunway Lagoon Theme Park
I have been engaged tightly with my working schedule. I do hope in 2009, I will allocate some time for my dearest friends. I know I have neglected a lot of you guys for the past few years.
I promise to make it up for you in 2009.
#6. To travel to a country which is definitely colder than Malaysia

Was in Delft, Netherlands
Yes, I definitely want to visit a country which has Autumn or Winter. It’s freaking hot in Malaysia. Thus, I have always love colder countries. It was an extra blessing from God when I had the chance to visit Madrid and Amsterdam in 2008 with my company.
Well, well… I certainly pray hard that we will do better in 2009 to aim for another trip to Europe!! =)

Well, it’s already the 2nd of January today. I am all out to achieve my resolutions. What about yours?
Let 2009 be the year of exceeding multiplication and fruitfulness for me…and for you too!
(P.S.) #7. To earn more $$$ is a must for every year!!
