Reflecting on 2008

31 December 2008

A moment ago, I was just pondering on the entry where I blogged about A New Season with 2008.

It was just like a month ago when I looked into 2008’s resolutions. And today, it is already the last day of year 2008.

I will check back on my resolutions and see if I have achieved them.

1. To be a wedding planner.

wedding manager

Didn’t get to set up a company yet as my full-time career in medical industry just took off. At least, I was requested to coordinate 2 lovely weddings this year. A big thank you to Pastor Victor and Justin Ng for the golden opportunity.

However, I will still be a wedding manager if you need my services. It is my joy and interest to see a blessed couple exchanging vows.

2. To visit at least 5 countries this year. And I did it.

Spain

Yes, I have traveled to Hanoi, Israel, Jordan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Madrid and Amsterdam this year. It is indeed a milestone! I am proud of it.

3. To be more active in church.

boot camp

I am glad I still hold on to my faith in Christ. Without Him, I am nothing. I am glad I can serve in the church and I hope I could do more for my church in 2009.

4. To live a healthy lifestyle.

vege

I don’t think I did quite well for this resolution. Yes, I maintained the low-carbo diet and consume more fruits and vege wherever I go. Sadly, I couldn’t find ample time to do cardio exercises. I hope by walking around hospitals in my work counts… walking is a form of exercise right?

5. To spend less in shopping

saving

I didn’t really buy fashion apparel this year. However, I spent a litle in getting other stuffs. Heehee! Don’t punish me!! I am trying my best to hold on my hunger!!

Well, I am saving to get something I love. When the time comes, I will reveal what it is. =)

Looks like I have walked a long mile in 2008. Ups and downs, valleys and mountains… I know I wouldn’t have last the final mile without God’s grace.

reflection

Looking back at the past 364 days, I smiled. I have run a good race. I will run better in 2009.

I will.

Happy New Year everybody!!
