I must thank God that I do not need to pay as it is my company’s incentive trip.

I will be spending 3 nights in Madrid and 2 nights in Amsterdam. This will be my first journey to Europe! I can’t believe myself flying to Europe.

GOD!!! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!

Can someone tell me what are the things I should or shouldn’t do when I am in Madrid?

I am so excited!!!!! Going to faint due to over-excitement!!

Snoopy World in Hong Kong

10 November 2008

It has been more than 4 weeks since I came back from Hong Kong. I am missing all the good food and awesome shopping especially from Esprit outlets.

Now when you are in Hong Kong, do not forget to stop by Snoopy World which is located at New Town Plaza, Sha Tin. You can easily get there via MTR Sha Tin station.

Any fans of Snoopy out there??

Snoopy is a fictional character in the long-running comic strip Peanuts, by Charles M. Schulz. He is Charlie Brown’s pet.

Snoopy World in Hong Kong was opened in 2002 and received millions of visitors to-date.

Mr Brown in my arms…. yeah right?

Snoopy being Snoopy. He is just plain cute! Right?

Peanuts go to school?

Looks like our dearest Snoopy is really enjoying himself here.

I need Psychiatric help!! Consultation for 5 cents only!!

The Happy family of Snoopy with Mr Brown and friends.

Snoopy looks cool in sunglasses, don’t you think so?

Maybe I should act like Snoopy!!

A Change for America, how about Malaysia?

5 November 2008

It’s exciting to witness the American elections. Don’t you think so? Go to Malaysiakini, go to CNN, you will be covered with the latest news of the elections 2008.

President-elect Obama

With the resounding victory of  Democrat Senator Barack Hussein Obama, he has become the first African President of United States of America after defeating Republican Senator John McCain.

Not only the Democrats won the presidency, they took control of the House and Senate as well. This shows that millions of people cast their hopeful votes in this election that could reshape US politics after years of Bush’ administration. Obama is indeed a history maker for America today.

His victory speech touched me with words like this:

“The road ahead will be long. Our climb will be steep. We may not get there in one year or even one term, but America – I have never been more hopeful than I am tonight that we will get there. I promise you – we as a people will get there.

But I will always be honest with you about the challenges we face. I will listen to you, especially when we disagree. And, above all, I will ask you to join in the work of remaking this nation, the only way it’s been done in America for 221 years – block by block, brick by brick, calloused hand by calloused hand.”

And I was thinking if Obama could win the hearts of Americans to fight for a change for the nation, what about Malaysia? When will be Malaysia’s turn?  When will democracy rule full fledge in Malaysia? Is there going to be a rising leader in Malaysia who will fight against corruption and walk with integrity? When will Malaysian elect someone who can work for the country’s progress without looking at the colour of the skin?

When will that be the day for Malaysia?

Transformation

2 November 2008

Graceong.com celebrated 1st birthday yesterday. Those days before Graceong.com was founded, xanga was my best friend when it comes to blogging. Not only my blogging and my website is growing, my biological clock is ticking too.

As I was browsing through my pictures of younger days, I was telling myself “Grace, age is catching up. Do whatever you need to do when you’re still young. Pump it all out when you still have the energy.”

Alright, why don’t you guys take a look at my process of transformation and tell me what do you see?

Gopp 1984 July

1984 – The year I was born! And hey, I looked so cute when I was only about 4 months old, don’t you think so? *Giggles*

1986 me

1986 – What in the world was I doing with a Continental Fan Belt?? Can’t blame me as I grew up with my family operating a spare parts business in Ipoh.

Maybe my ancestors wanted me to pick up the knowledge on spare parts as soon as possible. But hey, I was only 2 years old!! I need toys! Not fan belts!!

1988 me

1988 – My mum forced me to wear her dress! Now I looked like a Samurai, don’t I?

1991 me

1991 – Wow!! At the age of 7, I already know how to seduce guys! Aha… no worries, he is my cousin. I am just trying to cheer him up here!!

1994

1994 – A chubby girl and with some baby fat at the age of 10.

1997 me

1997 – Please don’t ask me why I ballooned up here! I guessed the age of 13 is a fat year for me!

1999 May

1999 (May) – Slimmed down a little but still carried baby fat around. Having PMR Stress is good because it will slim you down. (Muahaha)

2000 beginning

2000 (Jan) – Trying a boy-cut was not a good idea especially when my face is like a shape of the moon! In fact, I was not keen in losing weight. I was often attracted with good food and weight just crept up slowly.

2000 October

2000 (November) – I was extremely relieved when my hair grew back. You can’t believe how much I had to endure with that stupid boy-cut!

Hated my natural-born curly hair so much!!! At this moment, I knew the word ‘DIET’ and it worked for me by cutting down the carbohydrates!

2001

2001 – Not much difference compared to 2000. But I can’t wait to get out of high school you know?

Come to think about it, I was not a nerd in school. Was neither the pop star nor the rebel. Was not even the wallflower or the class clown. Was in the group of high achievers for a while only but got kicked out when I turned on my lazy mode. Was neither a bully or a brown-noser.

What was I then? Perhaps, my vulnerability plus my sensual naivety often makes me avoid confrontations. Having said that, I do admit I have terrific team spirit in getting my teammates to focus on the collective goal. Can I call myself a cheerleader? Hahaha…

2002

2002 – Known as PiggyGrace in Taylor’s College. This is when I started to do hair-rebonding to manage the curls in me! I love you, HAIR REBONDING!!!

For those who want to lose weight, please avoid fast food and cook your own vege soup. My recipe of losing weight was ABC Soup, Corn Soup with Chicken, Tofu Soup with Tomatoes and Spaghetti once a fortnight.

2003

2003 – Because of hair-rebonding, I can keep long hair now! Hooray!! It is also in 2003, I slimmed down very fast. Dropped 5 kg compared to 2002, 8kg compared to 2001.

2004

2004 – Sick of long hair. Chopped my waist-length hair off immediately.

2005

2005 – All grown up at the age of 21 and yes, my hair was at shoulder-length. One year of short hair is more than enough. Anyway, this picture was one of the pictures of a model shoot for my previous college corporate ads.

And…Yeah, I graduated in November this year. =)

2007

2007 (April) – After working for some time, it’s time to chill out by the seaside!

2007 May

2007 (May) – Working is tough and yes, another round of chopping my waist-length hair! Again!! I just love the process of letting my hair grow to the length of my waist, and then chop it off short! Tell me I am crazy!

2008 October

2008 (October) – I tried to let my hair grow till shoulder length earlier this year. But the weather was too hot and I decided to trim it short again. Now I will just leave my hair as it is. Not sure when will I chop it again!

******************************************************************************************************************

WOW!!! Looks like I am still going through transformation and the process of growing up. Tell me I am NOT going to grow old!

I want to stay YOUNG forever!!!
