The Healer Story

I would love to talk about Mike Guglielmucci today.
Mike Guglielmucci is a youth pastor at Planetshakers Church in Melbourne. He also serves as the bass guitarist for the Planetshakers team. There are many awesome christian songs written by him such as Pick It Up, Majesty, Praise You, Evermore, Running After You and many more.
In his mid 20’s, Mike was diagnosed with a blood disease in sometime mid-year of 2006. A stage 3 terminal cancer disease was definitely unexpected by him. It struck him pretty bad till at one point there were about 30 bones fractured in his body due to the disease. He was in pain all over his joints and bones. At that time, the doctor told him that he could live another 3 months plus.
One thing for sure, Mike didn’t give up on God. His faith was taken to a higher level and he never ceased to praise God undoubtedly. Even on a wheelchair, he has written even more beautiful songs to worship God and one of it is Healer. Mike has so much faith in God and even if he has to be called home early, he accepts it as God’s will.
Today, I see a whole new Mike. He could even preach and sing in the most recent Hillsong Conference. This has proved to many of us that God is alive and He can do ALL things POSSIBLE!

yeah, the tragedy is even greater than we imagined it could be. And what afflicted him has now caused untold damge to the kingdom. If ever there was a need for prayer, this is it.

Sigh. I shall let God do the judgement here. I know this is disturbing for the Christian community.
But at the end of the day, God is merciful God. He is almighty and gracious enough to forgive what Mike has done. Just like when David was such a powerful songwriter and a man after God’s heart who fell because of adultery with Bath-Sheba…
God is there… we just need to look up to Him despite all circumstances. Let not such damage ruin our faith in Him.

What he does shall not reflect on Christianity as a whole.

Let it be a reminder to many of us… it’s because he has a high profile that everyone knew that he has sinned…
doesn’t mean that we r clean… we are guilty and we are sinners no matter what… i believe many of us including myself sinned every day…
so we just need to come clean before god and ask for his forgiveness…
we all know God is our only Healer, our redeemer.. He is the only one that can set us free.

mike is only human, we make mistakes some bigger then other. but even tho he may have planned his song its still sung through the presence of god. he lied to get rid of the planetshakers contract to go to hillsong. he made the dicision. even without him tho youth alive was so awesome! there is a god and he loves each and everyone of us!

God is still God…. Above all circumstances, our faith is still aligned towards one and only omnipotent God!
