Yellow Fever
20 November 2007
Last Saturday, did you guys wear yellow to show your passionate love towards the country?
Guess what? Kevin and I did wore yellow tops even we were busy in church on a Saturday. I guess I’ve caught a yellow fever ever since the Bersih gathering was held.

“Malaysians were urged to wear yellow every Saturday in a protest against the government, after a rally calling for election reform was suppressed with water cannons and tear gas.
The organisers of Nov 10’s rally, which despite heavy rain and a government ban drew 40,000 people in the biggest turnout in a decade, selected yellow as the colour of “people power”.
“We are asking everyone nationwide to wear yellow on every Saturday. It can be a yellow cap, a yellow shirt, a yellow ribbon … just anything yellow,” said Syed Azman Syed Nawawi from the opposition Islamic party PAS.
The protest movement, a coalition of opposition parties and civil society groups known as Bersih, is pushing for reforms including a clean-up of the electoral roll and an end to postal votes. “ (Source)
Well, yellow was chosen to represent people power, freedom and justice.
Yes, and I truly 100% agree with this post on “You can’t control everything, UMNO!” (Source)
And I was thinking throughout today, I realize I have limited yellow apparel. What else am I going to wear for so many Saturdays-to-come? I should must try my very best to get more baju that is yellow in colour. =)
But I won’t want to look like Digi ads.

I’m a Strong Yellowman!!
I am not the only one who is caught with the yellow fever in fact.
On the 18th of November, there were some yellow wave found in Masjid Jamek recently. (Source)
Malaysiakini also reported that ‘Launch of Yellow Day was marred by police harrassment’ and this even further encouraged my family and friends to spread the fire of Yellow Fever. We all truly know that this was a clear example of harassment by the authorities in order to disrupt Bersih’s public education and awareness campaign.
Yellow fever has no doubt spread to almost every living cell in me. Yellow, everything about Yellow!
As I was scrutinizing my wardrobe, I sighed heavily. Great, these are the yellow baju that I ever own in the entire wardrobe. So, what will I wear on a Saturday??

Attending a function?
Maybe I could wear this for a wedding dinner on a Saturday night. Seriously I can’t be wearing this for all dinners which happened to be on Saturday nights, right? People might think that I only own 1 pathetic yellow evening gown!

Hanging out nearby?
Anyone calling me out to “YumCha” or “Lepak” at Starbucks? You might see me wearing one of these tops.
Yes I am 50% Naughty and of course 50% Nice!

Meeting a client?
Let’s say if I were to meet a client, should I be wearing this?
*Sigh*
Now, for the last piece in yellow.
**WARNING: This is strictly for readers aged above 18 years old!

To seduce your husband with this?
Perhaps, I should could wear this pair of undergarment every Saturday??
(**Okay guys, don’t whack me for this!**)
Hey, after all I am showing myself that I am wearing YELLOW to make the difference.
Why?
For the love of Malaysia!
