Big Apple Lovers

30 October 2007

I have visited the Pavillion in KL yesterday. The shopping mall is huge! I couldn’t finish walking the entire mall because my feet was aching. However, you need to have a FAT wallet to walk into Pavillion, just like the Gardens in Mid Valley. This is because, everything is so darn f***ing expensive!!

Any donut lovers out there? There is one cafe selling awesome donuts in The Curve!

Big Apple

Donuts in BIG APPLE that come in various flavours and you can smell them even from miles away.

Don’t even try to go there on a weekend! This is because you will end up queuing up for hours before you can nibble your tasty donut!

The Bakers

Big Apple practices transparency in the production of the donuts. This allows you to enjoy watching their hard work in baking one of the best donuts in town for you and me!

Thank God they are wearing masks! If not, we would have extra ingredients in the donut such as SALIVA!

3 Little Donuts

Can you see the beauty of the donuts? Looks good, huh?

Each donut cost RM2 in Big Apple. However, if you buy half a dozen, it will only cost you RM9.50 instead of RM12.

Donut Lovers

How delicious the donuts are…. YUMMY! One donut is just simply not enough!

Oh well, it is said that Big Apple will be opening branches in Pavillion, Mid Valley, 1-Utama, Bukit Tinggi and Cheras. Just remember to check them out!

GFS Dinner
GFS Anniversary Dinner Concert 2007

The dinner is finally over. PHEW! With all the hard work of the planning committee, the practices from the performers & the worship team, the ushering for the guests and tedious jobs of the production team, the GFS Anniversary Dinner concert was a great success!

Koreans Meet Vietnamese
Empress of Korea meets Princess of Vietnam during the Fashion Show

Yes, that is me in Korean costume. Ivan was calling me the ‘Empress of Korea’ when he saw me at the backstage. Gosh, my ‘topi’ was going to fall off when I was doing the catwalk on stage!!
Malaysia Truly Asia
12 beautiful Asian ladies with the make-up artise in the centre in greyish black.

The Fashion Show was a BIG BANG for the anniversary dinner concert! Take a good look at all of us in various types of Asian costumes. Hey guys, who is the sexiest and prettiest? Hahahahaha!!

However, the rich culture embraced by Malaysia is a blessing indeed!

But I seriously look fluffy in the Korean costume! I looked pregnant!!!!! Gosh!!

Backstage

Now, look who’s distracting me at the backstage?

GFS Old Farts (L-R): Ken, Sam,Isaac, Ashley, Kevin, Me, Gerald, Alwyn, Johnny

Yup, these are some of the old farts who used to serve GFS when they were in college. Now that most of them have moved on to the bigger cities to work, but at least they still came back to Banting for a good old reunion at the Annivesary Dinner Concert 2007. To think of it, I knew most of them since 2003. Wow, that’s pretty long ago.

New Batch
GFS College Group 2007 with Pastor Christopher Long in the centre after the dinner concert

The 2007 College group in GFS is growing. They are mainly from Kolej Mara Banting, Nilai International College and Inti University College, Nilai. In fact, I felt that I am growing old when most of them are only 18-19 years old. I have graduated 2 years ago, and I am still stuck with college network. (Read: I am still young at heart!)

Well, at least I have Johnny and Isaac Leong to join me in the working world now. (*Grins evilly!*)

And about to add one more to the list, Gerald Ho who is about to join the working world + serving GFS Banting together!! I am not so old after all because Gerald is older than me in fact. (*Giggling away*)

Anyone else wanna join me?

To Banting with Love of course!

Menstrual Warning?

25 October 2007

I apologise for not being consistent in updating the blog. I was busy during the last weekends with a friend’s wedding in Ipoh. This week, I was busy with my work as everyone is back from Raya holidays. Sadly to say, I am in the midst of holidaying mood at the moment. Why? It’s end of the year. “Tis the season to be jolly, Fa la la la la la la la la la.”
——————————————————————————————————–

I was flipping through Cleo magazine the November 07 issue yesterday. Guess what I found in one of the pages?

THIS:

Menstrual Warning
Warning to you and me? Don’t get me wrong, the Laurier sanitary pad was placed next to it for photo purposes.

Isn’t it bizarre to get such bold words like WARNING from a woman’s sanitary pad?

How could we forget that we are having period??

Fat Face

17 October 2007

I have just finished watching the entire season 1 of Heroes. Oh man, I love to be one of them if there is an activating evolution existing in this world. Guess what, I will want to be like Micah, the son of DL Hawkins & Niki Sanders. Why? I could just go to any ATM and get the cash rolling out for me!! Wooohooo, I would be a rich girl!

I was just wondering when I passed by this shop at The Gardens.

Fat Face
Fat Face boutique in The Gardens

It’s really peculiar to find such names they could ever put for a boutique especially when this shop caters more for the casual wear market. I do agree that such bizarre names will attract customers.

But why FAT FACE?? Will I get fat when enter this shop?
So, what happens if I really walk in to purchase a piece from Fat Face?

Will I turn out like this?

Fat Grace
The bloated version of Kevin and myself

Don’t laugh! (I clearly know that my photoshop skills suck big time!)

Okay, STOP laughing!
