Trip to Langkawi Island (Part 1)

31 July 2007

Here I was again in Langkawi Island.
It has been an awesome trip with my fellow colleagues and ex colleagues. Yea, two of them have left my current company. However that does not stop us from going on a trip with each other. Most importantly, we had a lot of fun!

Oriental Village Langkawi was the first spot that we hit in this island.

Then we took the cable car up the hill. Now, we are 710metres above sea level. Embracing the cool breeze and the scenery of the island from the topview.

Even the guys are enjoying themselves.

sky
It feels exceptionally great to be on top of the hill. The sky has no limits.

We have also visited Seven Wells Waterfall on the 1st day of our trip.

Hahaha…. I am proud to present you… MISS SEVEN WELLS Waterfalls of Langkawi 2007.

I can tell you that it is freezing cold and we were all shivering while capturing these shots.

Did you all ever know that Langkawi is a duty free island? This means… LIQUOR is so DARN CHEAP!! Dirt cheap to buy a Johnnie Walker Green Label for only RM90.
sunbar
CHEERS with a Margarita for RM15 only!!

We went island hopping on the 2nd day. Dayang Bunting (Pregnant Maiden) Lake was the first stop. Guess what? Last year, my family and I didn’t jump into the lake. It was kinda polluted. But this year, it was a total difference. And yes, with all my guts and courage, I jumped into the lake.

Then climbed up to the platform to JUMP again with Min Yan.

Weeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!

Now this a video of 5 crazy people trying to do a back dive into the lake. Don’t laugh!

The whole group’s picture with the Pregnant Maiden Lake.

This is another waterfall that we enjoyed on the 2nd day.
temurun
We travelled 40 minutes from the hotel to this picturesque waterfall.

It was the Temurun Waterfalls, and the water was even colder than the Seven Wells waterfalls. Goodness, that’s why we didn’t take off our tops. It’s too cold. Madness!!

Something I will not forget for life eventually. It’s not like everyday we can go on a trip just like that. Agree? This is definitely something memorable for my travel journal.

Thank you so much to Kiong, ur wife (Min Yan), Bernard, Soo, Rain, Ager and Kevin. I doubt without you guys, this trip will not be a success.
