DAY ONE - 20th APRIL 2005 (WED)

On the way to the Penang Island… Check out those sleeping beauty of Karen and Mandy… :) Poor me, jutting out my half bum in da car back seats with David, Karen and Jacklyn. But it was FUN as Mr. Victor drives like F-1 to Penang. Gosh, took us only like 3 hours and 15 minutes to reach Georgetown. Emm… well, we even played chor dai di in the car! Crazy, rite?

Upon reaching Georgetown, Arthur has already brought us to the hawker stalls to taste the best Char Kuey Teow and I tell you it is amazing and I will give full marks for this dish. Haven!!

Alright, this is us lepaking in the Crown Jewel Hotel room each time we wash up before we go out throughout the past 3 days. That is why we are all in different clothes. Oh yeah, pls do check out David’s sleeping post. Emm…. this suddenly reminds me having a bad time of checking in to the hotel because the receptionist was really “LULU” le!!

It was our 2nd stop of MAKAN session. This time we’re at Gurney Drive after shopping at Gurney Plaza. Look at the food that we’ve called.. Emm before that, in the Gurney Plaza, we stormed into the Giordano Outlet and each of us bought different color of the same style shirt “ME”. The motive was to wear the same shirt on day two. Check it out ok?

Hahaha… we were all ready to go for clubbing in Penang…. dunno where Arthur will bring all of us too but I knew it will be fun. And yes…Mr Victor was even dancing with us… 50 yr-old lecturer banging away with us…crazy rite?
DAY TWO - 21 APRIL 2005 (Thurs)
We woke up at 10:30am today because we had a late night out…CLUBBING in Penang was absolutely fun. We went to GLO [sad to say we didnt bring camera] at 12am and went for supper at Old Green House at 3am. This means by the time we reached hotel, it was already like 3:40am. Some more we didn’t doze off but played chor dai di till like 5:15am. So the day goes off with an hour plus’ journey from hotel to Balik Pulau….12:45pm we finally reached the destination but MAK LONG stall was closed so we ended up in Argos Nasi Kandar…..

After the lunch, we just walked to the durian stall which is about 50 feet away from the nasi kandar only. Goodness…MAKAN again…. Colourful People eating Durian ahhhh……

Posing for GIORDANO again… This time we’re at the beach area near Balik Pulau. It’s called Teluk Bahang. It took me and Jacklyn so hard to climb to the highest rock. Gosh..it’s slippery and dangerous to climb and step on the rocks!

Ooohh… guess what? We’re in front of Snake temple after a long journey in da car from Balik Pulau. Thus, we drank coconut juice to quench our thirst at this sunny day. Emm… to our dismay, the snake temple has nothing much to see at all! Only 2 miserable snakes in the glass tank! So we’re off in the car to Penang Hill.

Penang Hill, here we come! As you can see from the pictures above, we spent quite some time on top of the hill snapping lots of pix but I can’t load all of them and we even “dah bao” food up on the hill to share to eat the best fried potatoes and mee goreng.

This was dinner time of Day Two. We were at Golden Gate Steamboat Restaurant after washing up [after Penang Hill]. We were all fresh once again to hunt for food in our eating marathon. Look at the Fried Sui Kau, that was the best dish of that meal. Yummy…. hey, that’s not all… we went to other places for other food as well on the same night after the steamboat!!!

First we stopped at the hawker stall at Macalister Road for Curry Mee. I couldn’t eat anymore but had to try at least one spoon in order to fulfill my satisfaction. After the curry mee, Arthur brought us to drink herbal tea which was super bitter. Guess what, we went on an island tour and in the end we were at Coffee Bean at Gurney Plaza.
The world is so SMALL! Why? Because it was when I bumped into Nic, Pooisann, JenMay, KimBeng, Praeme & Jonathan. They were on the way to watch the Pacifier midnite movie while we were still hanging out, laughing away with Mr. Victor’s sillly acts as well as Mandy’s funny movements.
OH yeah, after that, all of us went straight back to the hotel to take a deep rest. David and Mr Victor were exhausted and they decided not to follow the rest of us for SUPPER MARATHON. As you can see at the 3rd line of the above picture, it was our first stop of the supper marathon and according to Arthur, it was the best maggi goreng. Check it out.

Emm… you should see the above pictures. The Kayu Nasi Kandar and the tallest ROTI TISSUE I’ve ever seen in my life. We went straight to Kayu Nasi Kandar right after the Maggi Goreng. Gosh… we were really eating like madness. But the Roti Tissue was awesome, splendid and it’s Sweet!!!
By the time we reached hotel, it was already 4:30am. To the maximum limit, we were not sleeping at this hour but what did we do in this early morning? We continued to play Chor Dai Di till 5:30am when everyone started to yawn and say good nite to each other.
DAY THREE - 22 APRIL 2005 (Friday)
We woke up at 8:45 am with a tiring and sleepy look because we slept for only 3 hours. One by one started to wake up and of course David & Mr Victor are the earliest at the other room.

Emm… cut it short, we checked out from the hotel at 10am and headed to the best dim sum in Penang.

After the filling “King-sized” breakfast, we were taken to Fort Cornwallis to snap some pictures. Oohh luckily we didn’t go into the Fort because each have to pay RM3.00…..and it’s not worth it at all. Emm, now we’re on the way to the Khoo Kongsi Clan!!

Taking photos under the hot sun was terribly crazy I would say. But of course, Arthur quickly brought us to taste the best Ais Kacang with fruits in Swatoh Lane. I would give 5 upon 5 for this cold drink. Hahaha..

Quenching our thirst definitely, but we’re off to Prangin Mall, David was driving Mr Victor’s car and we were spinning drowsily as the car kept winding all the way up to the car park. Yeah, bought my favourite actress Sandra Bullock’s DVD 3 in 1 for RM15. Tiring pace as we dragged our feet to the TeoChew Chendol Stall about 15 minutes walk away from the shopping mall. SIAO rite? After drinking the tasty cendol, we walked all the way back to the car park again…and this time we went to get GHEE HIANG Tou Sah Peah… that is what we wanted to buy back for souvenirs. It was already almost 4:00pm as we headed to Nibong Tebal. Almost got lost on the way when Arthur missed us. Luckily he came back to get us to follow his trail. We had the best Crab Porridge at Nibong Tebal as you can see from the above picture.

Emm..honestly speaking I am superbly tired…..BUT, this is was one of my best trip with Mandy, Karen, Jacklyn, Arthur, David, Mr Victor and myself. Thanks and yes…MANY THANKS to Arthur for bringing us around and MANY THANKS to Mr Victor for driving us to Penang too. I seriously cherish the memories and sweet moments together as a group.
